I am working on a project for a non-profit educational institutionand have designed myself into a jam that I assume only AS will get me out of.
The project is a campus map.
I have a 2880×2880 base flash map (swf) that I have added buttons that highlight and name numbered facilities when rolled over (in the “over” state). That map is sitting in flash tool that I purchased from this site to allow the user to peruse the campus (Zoom-Pan Controls with Dynamic Image and Settings). This tool uses the large swf map within a 630×500 canvas.
I have created another set of swfs at 220×500 that are designed to sit next to the map (the swf inside the swf mentioned above) providing a brief overview of the facility when the user clicks and releases the facility button.
The whole thing sits in a 880×520 holder that will be added to the school’s 900 pixel wide site.
I know I need code to control the loading of the new movie into it’s 220×500 holder. The trouble is I don’t have the slightest idea how to write this code—-which is compounded by the fact that the code for the button’s down states in the internal map swf needs to load movies into a holder outside of itself.
I would like to work with someone directly on this, rather than to do a long forum string. I’m an old-fashioned phone and email guy. Is anyone interested in helping hands-on?
The below link will show you a very rough sample of what the map will evenually look like. Only a few button rollover images are active at this point and the swfs are positioned in a blank holder on a blank page using html and css, but it will give you an idea of what I’m looking for.
I have all the files uploaded to my ftp for downloading by the unlucky soul who actually feels sorry for me…
