Pixel fonts are not designed to be rotated. And when they do move around the screen, you will want to keep them at whole-pixel coordinates.
The trick with pixel fonts is that they are designed to line up perfectly with the pixels on your screen. So unfortunately, any movement that pushes the font out of alignment will end up making it look like garbage.
As far as anti-aliasing methods, “anti alias for animation” and “anti-alias for readability” should both look fine. I actually prefer “anti alias for animation” since it keeps some pixel fonts from being cut off at the bottom.
