C’mon guys. The concept of making me put more money into an account than I currently want to spend is NOT for my convenience!!!
I mean, a $20 minimum? And how about this “Deposits expire after 1 year if they’re left unspent”. Methinks you’re scamming people. Why in the world should money I give you expire???
Change it so I can just buy what I want rather than your arbitrary preset amounts. And get rid of the expiration. I’m gonna spend the last bit I have in my account and I’m done unless you make this a lot more fair.

This is a Flash File Site meant for purchasing files. Look at the prices of the files $1-$30 for a file. There is nothing wrong with the $20 minimum if you are using this site how it is meant to be used. If your worried about not spending $20 in a year then don’t deposit any. Enjoy FD

Yeah – I don’t feel comfortable about the deposits system. It’s there because FD is based on the micro-stock model – i.e. cheap prices which would result in significant transaction costs if each file was sold separately.
The expiry system is in place so we don’t have to have to forever worry about accounting for small amounts of change people forget about using in their accounts. Expired deposits are currently a very small fraction of 1% of revenue – i.e. most people end up spending it all and adding depositing more cash. 
For those who regularly use FD, the deposit system works well. It doesn’t work well for new buyers (barrier to entry) or for people who only want one file. Perhaps like yourself. So – We would like to institute a single payment system, however I don’t know about the timing thing, so you might have to wait a while.
