Does anyone know the details for using Google Checkout or Paypal for international sales? Is it possible? Are there extra fees? The only information I’ve found online is from 2006.

if you use paypal for payments you tend to have to pay conversion and transaction fees. useful feature: you can easily create invoices so client only needs to click email link to pay amount to your account.

The way i understand it, Paypal was created to facilitate international transactions… I’m paying people all over the world with Paypal, sometimes in Euros, other times in USD . I’m not sure what your question is dajovion?

And as far as sending/receiving money goes…

You can simply do a send money or get money request using your paypal account and it has a drop-down menu to choose currency.

However, I just spoke with Digital Science and his country does not currently offer PayPal, so I am signing up for a Money Bookers account too.

Hope this helps.

If not, email me.

I once met some of PayPal’s corporate staff and they were quite helpful & very friendly.

During the PayPal Pro Book Release party in 2006 at SXSW .

It was pretty fun.

What up Damon Williams?!

My question is in regards to selling items on a website. Sorry, should have been more clear on that. For example, if I have a website that sells clothes could I use Google Checkout and/or Paypal to sell the items internationally.

I have the same problem Paypal doesn’t support withdrawls from here either. Hows Moneybooker been? i read a couple of bad forum posts and decided to take it slow and find out a bit more before i signup.

Dajovion, I’ve been selling internationally for a wile using PayPal and it’s strong.

Google is Google regardless, and yet PayPal has been in the eCommerce biz for many years now.

They have ridiculous features like send money and receive money via cell phone etc.

Checkout their currency acceptance list.

They offer many different currencies.

I agree though, take your time.

I just started using their service and they kept on improving it over the months & now years.
