I would like to suggest a new audio section…

Cinematic Scores

It would be nice to have this as a main category with subsections for different genres of music. I would have a use for them and I think it would bring a whole other crowd of filmmakers to the Den. What do you guys think, and would you guys be down to make some score type audio?

That’s a pretty good idea, xdozex! There are some great cinematic tracks within FlashDen at the moment, it’s just a matter of finding them. Here are a couple of examples I remember hearing, but you might find what you are looking for within the classical section.

ya, from just looking around I found one of the ones you listed. I just think it would be nice to have a whole category devoted to it. Plus sub categories per genre like action, adventure, horror, drama, military, battle, baby seals, romantic, comedy, etc.

I think having it all centralized, making cinematic stuff easier to find, would help. And I think indie filmmakers all over would begin to buy. I have been looking for a while and there arent that many score sources that you could buy short of hiring a composer…and thats just too much money for $0 budget indie films.

I know about 10 friends that would be instant members if there was a decent selection of movie scores added. I know AudioJungle will focus on audio more, so even if this wasnt added until that went live…it would still be nice to have there.

Oh ya, when the hell is that happening guys? hehe.

Yeah, I think that is an excellent idea.. Because, to be honest, most of the stuff in the classical category is not classical, including my stuff.. So, an “orchestral”, or “film score” section would be an ideal place to host some of those files..

Nice file Adrien! It was funny because my friend was over last night, and he was complaining about editing his short, and he CANNOT find a decent stock audio set that would allow him to make scores, without being musically inclined. He just paid close to 1,000 bucks for 2 sets of “Stock Audio” that were supposed to have thousands of sounds to allow you to layer scores from it, and in reality there are about 3,000 sounds of people, in what they think are “cool” voices, saying things like “Get up nah”, “Ohhhh yaaa” and really cheesy phrases, with 10 versions of each. Really horrible. So i was telling him there was an audio section on here, and to check it out, but out of all the sounds all we found were about 5-10 that would really be great for scores. And of those, we didnt find any that really matched what he was looking for. So ya, it would really be nice for a section to be tailored for that market. And I know you audio geniuses could make some really nice scores. I am excited to hear them! I hope this section gets put into at least audio jungle.
