Hi Audio contributers and listeners!
(some of the questions and statements below have all ready been noted to Flashden, and answered, thank you for that)
I am fairly new here and just got “started” so sorry for asking questions all ready answered else where!
First, I would like to thank you all for a great site, I enjoy being a member. That said!!!!
Audio Jungle (Flashden has all ready answered some of these questions)
There is a lot of “rumors” about this site Audio Jungle to enter the world wide web?
Is there any official statement or similar to read about this Jungle ?
Are Flashden close to reveal an eta on the Jungle ?
The audio section of Flashden seems pretty quiet to me! and that goes for sale, forum threats and user additions.
I assume Flashden staff are working non stop on this new site to come, with hopefully some cool new features for the audio contributers? Â (there will be I know)
I assume Flashden all ready have discussed many issues concerning the audio section of Flashden, but I think it would be inspiring for you to hear from a new contributer and hopefully other contributers will follow up.
Generally it would be nice with some more focus on the audio section. (there will be I know)
Has there been an opinien/idea poll for the new Audio Jungle on Flashden for Audio contributers ?
Profile option
It would be cool to have the option to edit more than the, all ready available options, a must have edit, is the name on the track.
It would also be great to have the option to deactivate the comments on your contribution.
Recognition
One more thing that would be really cool, if your avatar/icon could be a part of the small player, just slightly faded in the background. Reason for that is of course the recognition effect for returning customers. Or something similar.
Categorys
The category needs some( a lot) additions too, there are just not enough. A few examples would be : Atmospheric, Audio Logo, Music for games etc.
Exclusivity program
A little surf on Flashden audio section and you can see that the audio contributers don’t sell much, even the tracks are excellent. Audio files will never (surprise me) reach the amount of sales compared to flash files, I think therefor the pricing should be adjusted and maybe have the current rate set up as well, or lower the current fee($500) for becoming a member of your exclusivity program only for audio contributers. The exclusivity program is just not developed for audio (only) contributers.
Audio in general
Creating audio tracks can be as “hard” and sometimes even as complex as an xml driven flash-application. Getting the “message” merged and revealed in a small track is hard work (don’t get me wrong, I love it).
Finding that new sound, the perfect distance between the tones or the grooving beat is sometimes damn hard work and should be “rewarded” fairly.
Audio Approval
How many people are taking care of the Audio approval? ( I have meet Adrian, a very nice acquaintance).
Witch quality standards/guidelines are the Audio staff following on approval ? I can only find this on Flashden : AUDIO : For audio Items, the sound file must sound clear and not include any static or sound distortion.
Are there other quality standards regards audio being followed ?
Community
As it is for now there is really “nothing” (exaggerated) in return from being a contributer of audio files on Flashden except the fun of being a part of this community.
I like the concept and have felt very welcome by Flashden members and staff.
Thank you for a great community!
Please have in mind that this is not criticism but just some random thoughts and ideas. I hope to see some of the Audio members contribute to this threat, as I think it will be a huge advantage for Flashden in the development of the new Audio Jungle to come.
Best regards Lyden
