I made some games in F8, but some schools are living in the ice age and still have F5 player. When they view my games they think I am a moron since it’s a blank page.

Is there some way I can have a link that displays only if the content won’t load that says “upgrade moron, here’s the link…” Of course it would be polite though.

I think that ‘upgrade moron, heres the link’ is plenty polite personally. I call idiot users much worse.

I agree, but the users would be teachers and school administrators who don’t know, nor care, about which version of Flash player is installed.

I’ll check out SwiftObject now.

I am loving swiftObject. It does exactly what I need.

Before users would see a blank page and think I was stupid or gave them the wrong address. But now with swiftObject it gives them a warning and even tries to automatically upgrade their player version.

They might still think I am a moron, but not for the same reasons.
