What we need: MP4 container CentOS linux installed, convert process (what command to run to get an MP4 container), and WMV 7 /8/9 conversion problems corrected.

Hello,

I’m working on a custom video sharing site that uses ffmpeg to convert every video file to FLV . However, there are problems with converting WMV files (bad codec), so that’s one problem that we need fixed. From what I’ve heard, we need to use the latest ffmpeg as well as windows video codecs?

Next, we’re wanting to convert every video into an MP4 (x.264 / H.264 where available) container instead of FLV . We have thousands of .divx/.avi files and are in need of a better video format (file size, as well as quality (FLV is horrible for quality)).

So, if you can provide us with a logical installation as well as method to convert files that are uploaded into .MP4 format (we already have an ffmpeg setup and converting now), please contact me immediately.

If you know what you’re doing with MP4 , ffmpeg, and other command line-based video tools, you’ll definitely have more work from us in the near future.

Either send me a PM or leave a reply in this thread with your offer and what experience you have.
