FlashDen should make it mandatory that Flash authors make the XML file name a variable (that can be passed in the HTML ). It is very easy and avoids frequent conflicts with other files named similarly.

I think it will be a plus point of the file if an author implements it. I have already started implementing that feature in all of my new files.

It is a good suggestion to keep the xml file path to be pulled from flashVars, but making it as madatory will just create confusions. This will force us to give a weird warning to the buyers: “you should pass this variable, otherwise flash can’t get the path to your xml” ;) This is unnecessary for the straightforward users / implementations.

:) yes, it is possible to avoid warning:

xmlPath = xmlPath eq undefined ? “myData.xml” : xmlPath;
