Referred at least one person Sold between 1 000 and 5 000 dollars

Hi, guys! I joined the flash community four months ago and tried to understand what is that the customers want most. It is true that most of the items in popular section are template oriented. I knew that I have to create a template in order to boost my sales. I see that many others are thinking the same way because quite a lot template items were submitted recently. So I started to work on mine and may be I put too much expectations in it. When I was ready and got 7 purchases in the first 24 hours I got really excited and thought that it might actually work. Unfortunately that was it… No more sales. I am thinking about which way to go. Do I have to make more templates and put a lot of efforts just to receive few sales and hope that one day people will recognize me and items and will buy them. I am not aiming to be a top seller here – just want to achieve some regular income because I believe that it is good to sell quality and not expensive work many many times. Anyway – thanks for reading that.

Hey digitalplant, I’ve went through all of your files, and they look great, especially the adjustable flower!

Regarding your post, It seems really hard to get your files noticed around here. The file usually gets attention in the first few days when it’s displayed on the homepage and at the first page of the category search, and later just gets lost among thousands of other files.

I guess you’re in the same position I might be in within a few weeks. I’m just starting my adventure here with 2 puny files (My files nonetheless :D) and have tons of new ideas I wish to realise.

I think quality of files is a major factor in sales, but not the only one. You have to get people to see your files and I don’t think you can do that from within this site.

That’s why I’ll be trying some different tactics to get users’ attention. I thought of promoting my own mini-site that will traffic users to FlashDen. Also it would be good to use the referal graphics in your signature, emails, forum post in graphic design sites, and any other hole you can get to :).

What do you think of this?

Hi, majd_abdul!

Yes, I am thinking of mini site to promote my flashden items. And maybe not just only mine items… not sure. And of course the referral is something that I still have not managed to profit from. You are right that just programing flash items is not enough to make sales here. Thanks for posting comment in this thread – I needed someone to talk with about this.

Great idea on the mini-site. Also, what you’re doing right now – posting on the forums – can help alot too. Remember, every post contains your name and pic which are links back to your portfolio!

I don’t think flash forums can help you bring any much referrals because almost all those users know about each and every flash related sites (no matter either it is a forum or a product selling site). The best way is to have a very successful blog and writing frequently there can generate a lot of referral revenue.

Yeah, not for referrals, but just for sales in general: The more active you are the more exposure.
