wow cool !

very nice but it also burns the CPU :)

Posted 5 months ago

The frame rate is 16 fps. In my CPU ( dual Atlon 4700 ) 15 % of use. Totally normal.

Nevertheless he is better not to leave it within reach of the children, he can be dangerous. ;)

bookmarking this for when the need arises… I’d like to put a picture of one of my clients and see him burn !

well done, spotless

I have written before…

Frame rate:

The script use setInterval(fire, 60); aprox. 16 fps.

Sure thing!! I also would burn some “especial” clients.

woww… beautiful..

looking good. But firefox limit cpu usage to 3%, looks very choppy in it. I am afraid you can’ t put a bigger fire or do anything else with actionscript once you put that in your file.

Without problems of velocity when joining up to another AS scripts. This is an example of my effect, joined to many others of smoke, animation, etc…, and moving perfectly in this page for Microsoft-Spain.

Nice work, but anyway to be alpha of the logo and flame?

its shows black while i copy the actionscript and image to my own fla

thanks alot

Hello. I E -mailed you about making a candle flame. I am also confused about the black area that is created and is cutting off the flame.

The flame seems to generate a black background that limits your movie to black? And I don’t get how to make sure the entire flame is in the black area. It ends up near the black box edges and looks cut off/masked by the black.

thanks for your help.

This kind author has sent me a VERY nice candle flame and torch example.

It does appear that you can control the background color. Something about blending modes maybe? Probably my lack of experience.

Thank you Icaro. Is it possible to choose a specific background color? Pleae explain. :)

Very nice effect! I was wondering if it’s possible to add this effect to a button via “on rollOver”, I’m still new to Flash so I’m a little lost, but what I’m going for it text on a button that “catches fire” as the user rolls over the button, any help would be appreciated!

Can someone tell me how i can get rid of the black background and make it transparent please?

I just bought it and can only use it for the demo sample. Am I doing something wrong? How do I change the burning image?
