The combination of using flash animations with actionscript is probably the best and fastest way to get a very nice text effect.

If you don’t like using a lot of code and you do know a little about flash than you will like this for sure!

With one line of code you can initialize your text effect with the following parameters: -Letter speed, -Type of animation (That you can manually create within 20 seconds using keyframes and tweens) -Scaling -Positioning -Delay time -Option to attach it to an movieclip (that creates a rich number of possibilities).

As a designer you can go all the way and make your own text animation as crazy or as cool as your mind can be!

The class I wrote to make this possible is very easy to read and powerfull. After some weeks of experimenting with text effects I discoverd it by accident that the autoSize property and they way i tried to use it does not make every letter space the same.

So now it looks more like a real sentence.

Don’t forget to copy the fonts i included to your C:\windows\fonts\ folder.

And don’t forget to always keep the .as file in the same folder where the .fla is.

I love seeing text effects. There just is not enough of them on here. I would suggest a reload button for this demo so I don’t have refresh….Good Work

Hey Matthew, to bad you are not impressed, but when i looked at your first attempt it wasn’t that SUPER .. So i’m sure i can make it better with more options. But perhaps i made this on purpuse easy, so people who are creative can easaly make there own effect very fast. It works for me, so i don’t mind what you think about it.

Flash den staff mentioned earlier that advertising your own files on another author’s comment list is against the rules. Try keeping your sales to your own side of things. Let this person make his sales in his own home. You’re intruding matthewjumpsoffbuilding. Chill out.

Thanks URLanimEnigma! I will ask the staff to do so. Perhaps matthew is a bit jealous. Nice preloader you got there on your site by the way! When i made this (http://www.le-ri-crystal.nl/spiritueel/) website i also tried to do some nice stuff with the preloader too.

Sorry mate, Im not jealous of your file in any way, geez its pretty simple I just reckon most of the time people would be better off with my class, and so would my wallet :P

Oh, and URanimEnigma, I am chilled, doesnt mean I dont have an opinion.

So I get that Im breaking the rules by pushing my item as a better alternative to this, so I guess this will be the last time I post in this thread.

Thanks about the preloader on my site. I can’t take all the credit for that though. It was a modified version of Wildwise’s url and swf preloader. I made that site like 7 months ago. it’s old and out of date. I’m planning on starting a new one. Who knows how that will turn out. That site with the hand is interesting.

People always get really defensive when you say “My file is like that but it does…” It happened to me with an email form I make. I better not put a link in case ppl think I’m advertising, but I made a comment and about another guys file and he got a bit cross :)

Hey what????? 3 stars is fair, especially considering that I think there are better options… God people, look at the rating now – 2 votes, 2 stars – I gave it 3 – someone else gave it 2 or 1 obviously. I was being as fair as possible when rating this.

Give me a break, I’m not trying to make trouble. Like I said, I bought the file, its my right to compare it to other files. And I can guarantee you most of the time you will be better off with my class – so instead of getting up in arms about me advertising here – take it from someone who has got both classes at his disposal to compare…

Like I said, I would be saying the opposite if I thought this was better.

Well, I think both files are good. Both offer different things. If I were to choose between the two files I’d take into consideration which would provide the effect I’m looking for. Both this file and your file would gain a rating of 5 stars from me because of that. How a file can be used is an important part of determining the quality.

Everybody must know that this file certainly brings as many possibilities for text animation as there are possibilities for movie clips editing(even movie in movie….).Thats mean an infinity. The text can be turned even into a mask.I’m verry enchanted I bought this file. BRAVO !!!

Thanks coolboy! I gave this file to a friend of mine and he is more gifted with tweening and creating animations in flash. He was very happy with it, and i must say he created very nice animations with it! Better then i made in my example.

And you are right ..you can go all the way with infinity options :)

Thanks ! If you finish your animation could you give me a link? I am always curious how people use it on the web.

I only played with it. I did not put the animated text in any web work yet. But I gladly want to show everybody some possibilities that can be made with this component. And I am a noobie in web design.

You must integrate it into your flash project that you use to build your web page. So in other words you build your page in a flash project and if you want some text animation in that project then you can integrate this release in your project.
