Hahaha, that’s awesome. I played for a while this morning and didn’t get anything better than three of a kind.

are the winnings correct?

Because you win a pair you win $500, but should’t you get your bet back? So actually you get $1500?

Posted 5 months ago

No, this game is weighted so that the house wins more frequently. It is possible to change the weighting if you like, but since a pair is a very common occurrence if I paid out a lot on a pair the player would almost always win.

A pair is still basically a loss, just not a total write off. :)

wow full house :) 15000

Niiice. Good game. Is it hard to skin?

Posted 5 months ago

It should be fairly simple to skin, all of the elements are just in the library, and I am more than willing to answer any questions about modifying the game.

I like it, nice to do a quick game

Very Cool!

Normally, in video poker games like this you select the cards you want to hold, rather than the ones you want to remove.

ya i know that kinda screwed me on the first hand. I was like whered my 3 of a kind go…

Yeah, someone brought this up with me about a week before I uploaded the sample and I meant to adjust it for the sample I uploaded. To change this I would recommend changing the highlighted state for the cards to include a “hold” statement and then in the loop that checks the card state change it so that it replaces non-highlighted cards.

isn’t this to cheap? I’m sure it’s a bit of work for something like this. Especially writting the code.

Terry_57: I think it’s awesome that you were playing poker in another window at the same time :)

Fifty_Tons: Yeah, it was a fair amount of work, but I would rather have a lot of people buy it for cheap than just a few buy it at a higher price point. Of course, since nobody has bought it yet, I guess that theory isn’t working out yet…

Yeah all well commented, amazing file!!!!

I will buy this if it can be modified to work like standard video poker :)

Can you make a Texas Holdem Game?

Posted about 1 month ago

Yes, a Texas Hold ‘Em game would definitely be possible, but would require a much more complex hand checking routine.
