Dynamic Contact Form (AS3/PHP) sends HTML Mail

This is a dynamic contact form written in AS 3 .0 with PHP and HTML . Allows your visitors to get in touch with you/anybody =p.

Specs :

Tab indexes (Not in preview because of the added colorpickers)
Form validation

Checks the length of the input
(each field different, changeable in variables)
Checks if the emailaddress is in a valid emailformat

Disables send button while send the request to the server, prevents you get the mail multiple times.
If the mail was sent succesfully form gets a reset.
Reset button.
Messages changeable with variables.
Space out the form a bit more or less with a variable
Adapt the animation with variables.
Sends vars to PHP via the POST - Method
(easy to change into GET , but not recommended)
Sends out a html mail now with basic formatting, but with a little knowledge of html and css you’ll be able to make it even look more fancy.

Nice to know :

Inside a movieclip (so drag ‘n drop ‘n done)
Manual explains how to add fields !
Usage of Actionscript 3.0 (to implement in your newest sites)
Very lite ! (now it’s 82kb just because all font’s are embedded)
Easy to customize the looks, animation, ...
No need to re-color all movieclips, just change a variable and done !

Requirements :

A server with PHP 4 + running on it.
Flash player 9+

I guess with a basic knowledge of as3 it would not be that hard. But it would take some time till you get the code, that’s why … : I will make an manual how to add fields, guess that will be best.

Hi, it looks great! I’ve got some questions first before buying it:

_Can i use a combobox with your form ? same question for using adobe’s component box or textfield ?

_can i send a 2nd mail for the poster ? example “we have receive your mail, you’ll be contact soon”...

@rollmops : Let’s start with the good news :

The second thing you ask is possible with little knowledge of PHP (very little).

Adding fields is now explained in a tutorial, but a combobox and other components wouldn’t fit in for several reasons. I would have to adapt the whole code, like writing it renew. I’m sorry. (I could to it but then I have to charge you my working hour(s))

It’s possible, since the emailaddress is in the .php file. The only thing you can’t to then is changing colours/adding fields/messages/animations …. I didn’t see any options for shades of black. Is it possible to just go in and add a color of your own not listed?

@smahalko : of course, every colours you could think off is possible. (In the preview I use the default colorpicker component, in the file it’s a hexadecimal variable. For more info : Web Colors.

Yo, this is an amazingly great file! Thanks SO much!

Here’s the thing though, I’m very new to Flash and have tried implementing the file into my webpage (www.reactioncheer.com/contactus.html). Every time I fill out the form to test it out though, my browser tells me that I need to do some sort of authentication for my server! What the heck does this mean and do you know how I fix it? I don’t want this to happen, I just want the user to be able to click send and it’s off!

Just purchased your file ‘dynamic contact form’ from Flashden. Awesome file and works great, only thing is I can’t customise it to how I want as I don’t have Flash 9. Is there any chance of getting the Flash 8 file from you??

I just purchased your file and am getting this error when I upload it:

Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2032: Stream Error. URL : 99 – mailing.php at 99_fla::contactform_1/99_fla::frame1()

keep getting error that file can’t be preveiwed because contents are protected. Also can’t seem to change the style and look. Tried unlocking the files and removing password but still can’t seem to preveiw in browser only a flash preveiw, and it still looks the same with none of my changes on the colors..
