Here’s a creative way of using the player: http://www.hottopic.com/ :)

Hello Bobocel. I purchase this player last week. I have sent you 2 emails with 2 different questions and you haven’t replied any of them, yet….

I already figured it out myself. but I have one more question and I hope you at least answer this one. Please reply to me I will appreciate it.

I added some MP3 ’s which are voice/speech, not music. and the pitch seems to be lower than if I play the file with iTunes or WMP . Is there anything I can do on the code to fix this???

Please let me know.

Thanks

@Halanis: sorry for not replying. Please click on my avatar and you’ll see some information of why that happened.

Back to your question, Flash doesn’t affect a song pitch in any way, but there’s an appropriate bit rate that needs to be sent to Flash as far as I know. You might want to see what that is, and adjust your file.

Hi,

How would I go about inserting it in another FLA file?

Thanks

Hi Mike. You need to load the file using loadClip.

Thanks mate – that worked great.

hmm – there’s some problems when you use loadClip when:

1. the playhead goes to the end of an mp3, then tries to return ‘elastic’ back to the begining.

2. set all initial vars to ‘false’, and when you try and move the scrub it moves, but doesnt play at that position when you hit play.

any quick solutions there?

Thanks

hi Bobocel,

I sorted it out, it was just a typo I had done. Thanks for the great work! I’ve purchased a few files from your library now, so well done :)

Cheers

Great stuff, thanks! Hope you will take some time to rate each of them! :)

bobocel…

About a month ago I asked you:

You said I should call “the onRelease function for the play and pause buttons” to get the sounds to start and stop from the main timeline but I’m afraid I haven’t been able to figure out how yet… any chance you can throw the code my way?

And you said you’d be back after the 16th so I should ask you again then…

Can you please tell me how to accomplish this now?

Thank you! :-)

Sure thing. Thank you for the patience first. I’m a Computer Science Graduate now! :D

Please send me an email with your request and the zip with the file so I can make the change for you, as it’s pretty basic.

Congrats! That’s very cool…

The file is on it’s way, thanks.
