A while ago I ran into problems on how to estimate the total length of an streaming mp3 file.

Sound.onLoad doesn’t work for streaming sounds, so this player has a fix for this – as you can see. :)

Features:

1. Supports unlimited number of genres (click on Pop).
2. Supports unlimited number of mp3 files in each section.

4. Images (albums) loaded from external folder.

I’ve seen this issue before. I believe it’s something to do with the bit rate.

Yes, it is the bit rate. Using 22.050 solved the issue.

There are two options (fyi)-

A. Use a bit rate thats approved (simple google search) B. Force users to upgrade the latest version of the Flash Player

Hi,

This player has proved to be much more useful than another one I tried to work with from FlashDen. After several successful modifications to the original design I only have two questions:

1. The player autostarts fine when opened and the current song stops as it should when a new album is clicked—but although the first song of the new album appears in the player as it should, it does not autoplay (the play button must also be clicked). The only thing I modified in the actions.js file was the root.startVolume (changed from 100% to 80%). Any ideas?

2. I’d like to add a small EQ (I bought at FlashJunkie’s “Random EQ). Can I integrate the code for this (such as “equalizer_mc.gotoAndStop(2)” and “equalizer_mc.gotoAndStop(1)” into this Project? If so, can you point me to where it this code would get inserted in the project files to make the EQ dropped into the Flash layout work properly?
