NEW SUPER TEXT TRANSITION CLASS REPLACES THIS FILE

\

Instead of getting this – Check out the new Super Text Transition Class ( It’s SUPER :D ) You can use it to create this effect, and so much more – its easy to use, and extremely powerful!

It also includes an example of how to recreate this effect.

Also – I no longer support this file.

-

Dynamic text effect. Takes a string variable and fade/tweens it in.

Simply place an instance of this movie clip on your stage, and pass it a textvar variable and it will do the rest.

Notes included explaining how to change font etc.

But Iäm not a Flash-Pro, so id might be my own fault

I have put 3 text effects into my flash file. However, I can’t change each one to a unique color. Please help! Thanks!

hi jeremyle – yea, you probably will have trouble changing colours, since the effect is just made out of a movie clip, with a couple of movie clips inside it, so if you change the color it will affect all instances – you could try tinting each of your 3 different movie clips, or duplicating them in the library…

Excellent effect!! Is there anyway I can speed up the rate at which the text comes in? I’d like it a little faster and am not great with Flash yet!

Thank you! :)

Me again! Great script! Have been able to do plenty of neat things with it! However, when I try to use it in Flash Player 9, Actionscript 3.0, it fails to play properly!

Was hoping that maybe you had some suggestions as to how I might fix this problem!

Thanks!

Hi SheenaJ, sorry about the delay in reply.

As far as AS3 goes, I have no idea how to change the code to bring it up to spec, sorry – I still use Flash 8/AS2 and AS3 is not something I know much about.

Hope you work it out :)

Great script, however I noticed that if you include it on a timeline that loops, for some reason the effect (the letters fading in) speeds up drastically upon the second loop. I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out why this is, perhaps you can help?

Thanks!

Super easy to use, only one line of AS required to get it working, loops nicely, easy to customise speed, animation style, and fonts and colours.

I made it clear I do not support this file any more. You are much better off buying my Super Text Transition Class – you can achieve this effect and much, much more! Also, that file comes with unlimited support, so if you buy it and need help, email me and I will sort out any problems!
