I have updated the source files here on flashden with the feature of showing information by default when you click a thumbnail.

You need to set the value of showInfo variable to false in the Actions Layer inside the GridSlideshow Movieclip to show information visible by default.

Thanks I do like it!

I us layers to build my movie, and your file for the gallery When I call it to a new layer it moves all other layers to the top left corner

Is there is a proper way to have all my layers center

no it cannot handle multiple galleries.

try changing the value of the Stage.align = “TL” in GridSlideshow movieclip’s action layer.

Thanks I try it seams that it calls the stage to my mc_loder (movie contaner) not tme movie size all movies are the same size, when your gallery cames it get into the contaner from the TL side of the stage not the TL side of the movie size

how can i call your gallery to a contaner witout bringing the stage into it?

Hi there. I have purchased this file & I’m really pleased with it. I have modified the movie to fit into the design of the site it is placed in & I am just having a few problems adjusting some areas. Firstly, the movie is now against a white BG. Here are the other points:

1) I do not need a border around each thumbnail 2) I still need to keep a 1px gap between thumbnails 3) I have modified the movie to give a transparent colour hover when you move over the thumbnails, but this does not stay consistently over all thumbnails 4) Is there any way I can fade out the thumbnails to white in the background, when a main image comes up?

As the bulk of the movie is controlled & positioned by ActionScript, it is a bit beyond my abilities! Sorry I have chopped up your file without really knowing what I was doing, but I nearly got there!

Is there any way you can help me make these final ammendments. I would be happy to pay any reasonable mod charges. My adapted version can be seen at:

only suports limited images. Version 2 will have support of infinite images.

Version will have support for images, videos etc. But I cannot promise exact for V2.

Am i correct in thinking if i just changed the file extensions from .jpg to .swf in the xml document…. it would just create a big mess ?

It will depend on thumbnail size + dimensions of your desired swf file.

The thumbs are 50×40 and the desried swf dimensions are 429×431 (size in pixels)

Hi.

I have to say this is a fantastic slideshow!

One quick question (from a novice!) I have tried to change the background color to white. I have tried all obvious avenues (including stage and ‘bg’ color) but to no avail?

Your help would be greatly appreciated as I cannot wait to get this up on my new site.

This gallery is great! I have been able to modify everything to suite my color scheme.

One question… When I roll over the forward and back arrows they turn back to the original blue color (I changed the arrows, close, info, etc. to red).

How do I stop this from happening? I checked the CSS but its not that

Will there be support for SWFs as loading, aside from just images? am looking to show multiple slides or images within each large image thats generated from the thumbnail. Great gallery by the way.

Hi, I am struggling with this great flash…

I have 12 images (each of the thumb is 248px wide by 248px height) but the flash preview don’t seem to display the thumbs properly… they are cut.

I have set 3 columns with a stage width of 750px, but the thumbs are cut and not displayed properly.

It’s very frustrating not to be able to resize them or set a size for them. Maybe I missed a part, but could you help me please?

Hi,

I bought this file a while ago and think is fantastic. I’ve used it quite a bit and have recently used it for a friends website. However this time I wanted the pictures to display without showing the info as default. I noticed that you had told someone earlier to change the showinfo variable to false. the problem is when i do this every other image displays it, ie the 1st, 3rd, 5th won’t display it but the 2nd, 4th, 6th etc… will? any ideas?

Hello,

Fantastic work! I have the same issue as thmann in terms of the info display on random images when I change the showinfo variable to hide the info on every other picture. I also am trying to load it into another full screen flv. file, but it seems to push the gallery to the bottom right hand corner, as I want it to be in the center. I have tried all of the solutions that were previously posted but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
