As you can see in the preview file there are a lot of variables to change (there are even more you can change in the actionscript)
The zip file contains a .fla with a resize button and one without the button (for a static field size).
There’s a good readme file with instructions on how to change (e.g.) the scrollbar width and how to remove the fullscreen functionality.

delete all actionscript on the first frame of the _root timeline. that’s it 
Hi, there! I tried manually resizing the “static” version within Flash MX 2004 , but when I test the movie, the box goes back to its original size versus the dimension that I created. How can I overcome this? Thank you!

You ‘ll need to move the resizing button to the correct bottomright corner position. The button will then be invisible when you export the movie, but it does affect the field size.

Hello, again. The resize button does not exist in the static file; there is a layer for it, but the layer is empty. I tried moving the button in the dynamic file, but the size of the field still wouldn’t change. Am I overlooking something? Thanks for your help!

Fazzy, the text comes from the .xml file. You should place it between the tags
peppino, you could but there’s no support for that. What you’d have to do is replacing the ‘page’ movieclip with a moviecliploader that loads your swf. If you’re a bit into AS it shouldn’t be too hard, but I can’t help you with it.

Hi Jurgenv, i am using this at the moment and it is great!! i am having one problem though, when i upload my swf, xml, html files to a server the flash wont display the XML , but when i preview it in flash it runs ver smooth do you know the fix for this??

dont worry found it you have to make the XML doc in text editor and then rename it as a .xml cheers

Hi jurgenv,
Great file – it is loading my xml with css formatting perfectly though I have one small problem. I have resized the scroller and buttons. When the box initially loads in everything is great, though if I pick up the scroll bar to drag up or down it works but jumps 1px to the left. No idea why. Any ideas?

Except where explicitly stated this file is entirely the work of jurgenv. The author has indicated that any images / sounds / video / flash used which are not the author's work have been appropriately licensed for resale.
Think this file has infringed someone else's copyright?
