Nice file. This will save alot of time on the back end of posting photos for my client to the web. Client can now ftp his new photos to the site php folder, or remove whenever he wants….Outstanding work..

One thing for me is a problem. I have another flash file on the server using a curina folder for transitions. I tried to change your fla.’s AS instances to curina2 and changed the folder to curina2 and got a bunch of errors.

What did I do wrong? What can/should I do to change the curina folder to a different name and your fla’s as to recognize where to find it for the transitions it needs?

Thank You…...CalWebMan

CalWebMan – Thanks for the compliments. I’m glad it’s a useful file for you… and hopefully many others!

As for your issue. You should be on the right track, but in addition to the main movie clip “EasyPhotoGallery”, there are a few more movie clips that import the caurina package so you will have to find them in the library and open them and change the code in the actions layer of each of them. These should be all the movie clips that refer to the Caurina package:

EasyPhotoGallery galleryBtn nextBtn prevBtn Thumb

If you try this and still have issues, please let me know and I’ll help you out. Thanks for the purchase!

Please remember to rate the file when you get a chance.

do you have a AS2 version.I’m interest to load your gallery into another container and I need AS2 . Thanks

Posted 2 months ago

xmn – Yes, there is an AS2 version, but it is still in the upload queu. It is currently number 18 of 115… so, hopefully it’ll be posted in the next day or so.

Thanks Joe.I look forward to get it.

Thank You for such a fast response..The quickest of any author on Flashden so far! A+.

I will try your suggestions.

For now I just have everything including swf and curina in it’s own folder on the server. What was I thinking?

Sorry for the foolish question, early am and I wasn’t thinking simple! I’ll try changing the Action’s layer to see if that works too. This may be helpful if this gets inserted directly into another FLA using an existing curina folder..

Great File and functions perfectly on server…5 Stars!! Let me know when the as2 version is avaiable, I will buy that one too….Wish more authors created file versions in both..

great job

Is there a way to have the thumbnails view default as opening view? Maybe just see them load one by one instead of the first image? Thanks … and smart gallery!

Make the Photo Gallery Show First

This is in response to larmail’s comment._

If you would like to make the photo gallery be the initial view of the gallery, instead of the first picture, follow these steps:

1. Open the Actions layer in the EasyPhotoGallery movie clip.

2. Go down to line 233, that starts: // ONCE AN IMAGE HAS LOADED (This is the start of the completeHandler)

3. Replace all of the code for the completeHandler (lines 233 – 303) with the code pasted here

4. Save, publish & upload.

I will make an update for this file that will have the start mode (gallery or first image) as an option in the XML . It will probably take up to about a week for it to be posted. So, for now if you would like the your file to start with the gallery first use the directions above.

Also, if you want to be up to date on any updates/comments, please sign up for the RSS Feed for this file.

Thank you everyone for your purchases and comments!

NICE ! hey man, i have a dude, how can i taste form my desktop without internet connection. thanks!

Posted 2 months ago

Edgar, the only way I can think of accessing .php without an internet connection would be to install php and a server like apache . It’s not the easiest solution, but the PHP won’t work unless it’s on some kind of server.

You can probably also modify the Flash to have it work with Adobe AIR , which should allow you to access files on your computer. I haven’t really worked with AIR much, but when I get time I’ll check it out and see if there’s a solution that way.

Thanks for the purchase!

this gallery would be perfect for me, if… back, front and see all navigation button s are under picture. I am looking for simple staff. also I would like if navigation is just plain textt .. do you think that there is eazy fix for it

Posted 2 months ago

sokre – I’m not sure if I fully understand you. What do you mean by back, front? By navigation do you mean just the “Previous” and “Next” buttons? Or the gallery thumbnails as well?

These modifications wouldn’t be too hard (If I’m interpreting your comment correctly), but it would take some work to get it working the way you want.

Please post again and explain further. Thanks!
