Do you think you can put two video players on the same screen?

Posted about 1 month ago

colbert_philippe – You should be able to. You would just have to make sure to have a different instance name for each of the players and have separate XML for each. I could help you out with that if you want.

Nice player, really stylish and just what I was looking for, except:

I notice that when there is a list of items within a category that is greater in number than 6, there is no way to scroll down to the rest. I’d like to implement this player on my website but I need to be able to have a list of 20 audio files.

Also, is there any way to remove categories I don’t want? I just want videos and audio, no projects or separate FLV or H264 ?

Cheers

@innerbeats – Thanks for the compliments! To answer your questions/comments… The way you scroll is either by using the mousewheel, or by click, hold and dragging (like you would with you finger on an iPhone, but with the mouse). And you can have as many or as little categories as you want. It is all set through the XML file, so you can just have 2 categories and name them whatever you wish. Hope that answers your questions!

Hi Joe, Thanks for that. Got it working and have customised it in Flash – starting to work well. Only problem I’m having now is inserting it into my page.

The page is an image table created in photoshop, and then I take out an image pane in the table in Dreamweaver, and put the player in that pane. SO unlike your index file which is a whole page devited to the player, I want it to appear within my page. The current page with a player from someone else is here so you can see what I mean:

Jack C Arnold.com

I’d like your player to appear in place of the current one – obviously I will have left more room for yours.

At the moment I pasted all the BODY code from your index file into the corresponding pane of the table, but its not working and just coming up blank.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks, Jack

Hi there how easy can it be to change the way the categories and items scroll? The click and drag is not user friendly for my clients and this is the only thing stopping me from buying it right now

Thanx Timsby

timsby – I can help you change that. Would you just want the list to scroll when a user rolls towards the top or bottom?
