Nice effect, animike!
Cool evolution of my original Fairy Dust file. This one works on roll over only. Apply to a button, or invisible button, to make a certain element or areas stand out.
Very cool and easy to use. Simple add the dust particles mc to the stage and then add a few lines of code to new buttons or any buttons you have already created. Again, no help file, but all you need to know is in the source file. Also, please refer to my original Fairy Dust to see how you can customize your own graphics for the roll over effect.

no. as far as i know you cannot add a rollover effect to linked text outside of CSS , and that just creates a highlight effect similar to HTML . Can anyone else prove me wrong?

Hey, nice effect. I purchased this and tried to apply it, but can’t get it to work outside of your file. I copied the instance to the stage etc, but all it does is loop constantly, whether someone hovers over it or not. Any clue what I am doing wrong?

make sure you are using all the code i have put in the file. this includes any code on the button.

If I wanted to use this only in flash to link to another frame or label in the timeline, what code would i put in the XML file?
Posted about 1 month ago
This file is NOT XML driven. If you want to add a link to it in your flash movie, use the following code:
btn.onRelease=function(){
this._parent.gotoAndStop(“frameName”
;
}
Assuming this._parent is the time line you want to point to.

Hi I just bought both your fairy dust projects, I need the rollover feature of the ‘fairy dust rollover’ however with the particles animation style of the ‘fairdust’ one. It seems smoother and more fluid. Can you do this for me – I am happy to give you some extra bucks. Thanks, Sundae

hey sundae. first try changing the settings of the roll over one to match the settings of the fairy dust one. lemme know if that works.

Hi animike, i purchased your file, effects is great but i note CPU burn when I put this in my project. Not only when I use the rollOver effect but all the time.
In fact stars effects plays all the time and destroy fluidity of my others animations in projects.
Can you fix this bug and upload a new version of your file without this problem?
Thanx and sorry for my english
