Actionscript particles dance in a field simulating realistic dust. An invisible bounding box layer is added so that the area the dust particles display in can be easily adjusted. While the included background image is cartoonish in nature, this script also looks great on top of a photograph.

Answering wgarcia’s question in case others would like to know how to change the color of the particles:
Inside the movieclip called “dust”, there is a layer called “dustImage”. It’s a simple gradient-filled dot and you can either adjust the gradient or create something new on this layer.
