Gorgeous!! I am bookmarking it because I KNOW I want to implement that SOMEWHERE !!! Excellent imagery. KUDOS! 
I would also like to know how to mask the flies etc.. thanks, great work!

how do i have the fireflys not appear on the hightest depth? i want it to be behind another graphic. thanks

figured it out. all u need to do is make sure the graphic ur using to overlay the fireflies is in the same layer as the fireflies cuz the getnextdepth function keeps overlapping the other layers. but, if you have the stuff in the layer, it doesnt overlap it.

one more question. I copy/paste it into my flash website but now I have the problem that the fireflys are generating endless until I have the whole screen full. Is there a way to enter a die time?

I’ve loaded this beauty into the Elite XML template…

One problem…the fireflies are roaming nicely around the full screen, but the entire background image is confined to the upper left hand corner of the screen.
I would love to get these fixes, as I think this is an extremely versatile animated bacground.
