FLASH2JPG

This smooth utility converts a flash movieclip or your complete swf to a jpg image on runtime.

Note that it would take a lot of time to convert a big movieclip at 100% so either you can use it for small MC’s or to make a scaled version of your whole movie. For example I made a simple page editting system which saves a tiny thumbnail of the page to show in the page overview :)

You can specify the movieclip to draw and the resizing factor (1 = 100%, 0.25= 25%)

Hello, I am really interested in this utility. But when testing on Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5 .1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4) on a pc (win XP professional) the resulting jpg is a browserwindow filled with text. Can this be corrected?

As you can see i fixed it now. However if you download the file here on FlashDen you’ll need my fix for it to work properly, so just drop me a line and i’ll send the fixed file to you.

could you make the jpg get sent in an e-mail instead of displaying it in a new window?

Posted about 1 year ago

You could have the php script send an email using the mail() function. It is possible to add an attachment to these emails (though i don’t know how) so yes you could.

like u said sending an attachment…keeping a file on server…etc etc…

That’s great but as i took a quick look at the generated wallpaper and this has nothing to do with printscreening am i right? It’s just sending the appropriate variables to a (php) script and have that script put a car together based on those. So it wouldn’t help you any further if you wanted to make a screenshot of whatever is in your flash movie.

Hi jurgenv. I have same issue as wal_toor. Can you fix this?

Posted 9 months ago

hello again!

i have these questions:

- can the image generated be saved somewhere on the server?

- is there a way to delimit the “screenshot” area so only a selected part or movieclip on the stage is taken as the final image?

Thanks again for your time!

Just got this, but would also like to know if the image could be saved to a server somewhere. Thanks!

Note to (potential) buyers: Due to my absence I have not been able to answer a lot of questions on my files. I will not get back to any questions asked earlier, but I will answer those asked from now on. So please, if you still have the same question, repost it here.

Hi Jurgen,

I’m might going to use this script in a project later this month, but was wondering if you will still send the updated version.

Let me know!

Cheers,

Jaap
