FlashCinema v2.0

FlashCinema is an easy customizable video player. FlashCinema is streaming so you don’t have to load the complete video before you can see it. FlashCinema is XML based, which makes it easy to edit. Changing the size is easy, just change the playerWidth and playerHeight in the xml file.

V2.0 has some new features:

- Click the sound-button to see a volume controlbar. Click it again to mute all sound, or click anywhere outside it to close.

- The trackbar contains two fills, a yellow one indicating how much of the video has been loaded, and a green one indicating how much has been played.

Yup, you can edit all colors/sizes. Should be no problem, no need to change actionscript either.

Love the player, jugenv! You mention to “Click the sound-button to see a volume control bar…” I’m not seeing the control bar, it’s just sound on, sound off.

Am I misunderstanding?

What types of video files can you use for this player? I’ve downloaded another video player, but the designer cannot (or will not) tell me how to convert my ”.mov, .avi, or .wmv” files to FLV using Flash. Like so many users, while I have a basic understanding of Flash, I do not know how to use it to convert video to FLV and then insert it into the final HTML file. We need step by step instructions on that part of the process in order to implement the flashden product we just purchased. Can you help?

I would buy this player if you could help me, it looks sweet!

There is a replay button that appears when the video has ended, is it possible to add another button that “suggests another video to play”? Like the YouTube player wherein a list of other videos appear in the end or maybe just even one video.

It would be possible but its not a built-in feature. I won’t do it for you, but you might want to try yourself.

I changed the background to white, to match my background, but there is still a gray box set low and to the right of the video box. How do I change that to white or delete it all together. I’m almost there, I just need this one last thing! Thanks!

Hi,

I just purchased this and some elements are not working for me.

I can not get the image to work – I have changed the path in the xml file but no joy – no image at all.

Neither do the following 2 advertised features:

I’m pretty limited in my knowledge of Flash so it’s possible I’m not doing something right – could someone explain how it’s done?

The documentation is not good, not for those of us who need more help.

1- the flv is resaized? 2- the flv is cropped?
