UPDATED : Version 1.2 features “Play Again” button at the end of the game.”

FLASHMatch is a matching game similar to Memory. You can input your own images and text, as well as configure display options via an XML document. The animations are simple and easy to customize, and the layout of the game grid will change based o nthe size of your images and the grid size that you specify (ie 4×2, 3×3, 5×3, etc)

and it’s all in a movieclip so you can drag and drop it into any file (you must also copy the movieClip “cardClip” from the library.)

This is identical to the AS3 version, but written in AS2 and saved as a Flash 8 file.

Also, several bugs have been fixed.

Cool…and small size.. even useful as a preloader. i would definitely play this Game while wating…

@kramz – if a website takes as long to load as it does to play this game then the site is way overloaded!!! :)

And the flip game is great! just need a “try again” or “play again” button … instead of having to refresh the webpage.

good call, a “Play again” would make sense.. I’ll try to add that as soon as I get a chance!

I bought the other version, although this is really what I need. (My error.) What are the bugs that you mentioned?

Posted 5 months ago

I fixed the issue of a user being able tclick more than 2 cards at a time.. if they clicked a bunch quickly, it would cause some weird behavior.

I just bought it but can’t seem to embed it into a page. Kinda frustrating. Every time I specify the height and width paramters to post it on a website using either or tags the file responds with:

“XML Configuration errors:

Grid Dimensions must be in this format: 4×2”

But I haven’t changed the default parameters in the xml file… Within the flashmatch.xml file it still says 4×3 with the default images.

Is it related to the width and height parameters within the embed and object tags? I can’t seem to get this to work…

no, it’s not related to the width and height of the movie.. If you give me your email, I can send you the files again, maybe you got a corrupt zip or something.. I just tested the files that I uploaded to FlashDen, and changing the dimensions in the html doesn’t affect anything badly.

Can you just email the files you have so I can take a look? bobclagett @ velocityworks.com

Thanks bob

Hi there, your As2 version doesnt seem to do the “drag and drop it into any file.” Is this one of the fixes you have mentioned bevore? I have actually originally purchased the AS3 file – and you send me a preliminary As2 version by mail. Maybe the on-line As2 does not have this bug? Please help !!!

I realize now that I didn’t finish that statement.. you need to also drag and drop the MovieClip “cardClip” from the library, into your new file so that the game has access to it.

I like it, but I have a question: What happens if the images are in different sizes?

Posted about 1 month ago

Can you modify this for me to not use a XML file and have the images embedded in to the flash file?

can I open this with flash mx 2004? thanks
