FLASHMATCH

Full_screen_preview

FLASHMatch is a matching game similar to Memory. You can input your own images and text, as well as configure display options via an XML document. The animations are simple and easy to customize, and the layout of the game grid will change based o nthe size of your images and the grid size that you specify (ie 4×2, 3×3, 5×3, etc)

and it’s all in a movieclip so you can drag and drop it into any file (you must also copy the movieClip “cardClip” from the library.)

Actually, I figured it out.. The capitalization is incorrect on my xml document, so the server isn’t serving it up correctly. I’ve asked them to correct this, so hopefully they will.

I’m used to working in a Windows server environment where

fm.xml and FM.xml are the same thing.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Nice, but it would be good if you wouldn’t allow people to click all thumbs if we do it faster. You should restrict this number to a max of two. Great work!

Is it possible to adapt this file to work with Flash 8? If so, how?

Posted about 1 month ago

If there is enough interest, I’ll be happy to make an as2/flash 8 version to post.. anyone else interested?

Posted about 1 month ago

Haven’t seen the Flash 8 version posted yet. Any idea how long it takes? I have a project I was planning to use this game for, but the deadline is looming in the next 3 days.

FYI , everyone I’ve posted the files again with a couple bug fixes, although I don’t have any idea how to tell if they’ve updated the files for me yet or not.. I can’t find any type of update queue.

Thanks… Great file!

Hi there, your As2 version doesnt seem to do the “drag and drop it into any file.” Is this one of the fixes you have mentioned above? I have actually originally purchased the AS3 file – and you send me the As2 version by mail. Maybe the on-line As2 does not have this bug?

I realize now that I didn’t finish that statement.. you need to also drag and drop the MovieClip “cardClip” from the library, into your new file so that the game has access to it.
