This awesome video player can play an unlimited number of FLV files, and streaming. You can add these files in the xml file, with their own big image (shown when not playing), a small thumbnail image (for the playlist) a title, and a description.
Furthermore you can change all settings you see in the preview in the xml, so it’s very easy to adapt this one to your own project.
The stars of the show are the two little yellow buttons in the bottom right corner of the player. The left one toggles windowFill. If windowFill is on, the video will be stretched to fit the player window, if it’s off it will be played at its original size, try it! The right button toggles fullScreen!
Note, the fullScreen functionality requires flash CS3 , but i also added a flash8 version that doesn’t have fullScreen functionality.

Very nice! Took a while, but I got it working on a PHP site. Everything looks great except that I need to click the white square to get the video to fill the player’s screen. When it starts, it is in the upper left corner. I click the white button and it then fills the playback area. Any ideas on how to get this to be the default? I would prefer it to always start by filling the player screen. Thanks for such an awesome component!

OK, by reading your past comments, it seems like I need to turn windowFit “on” so my movies fill the black area. I don’t see that as a variable in the XML file, where do I find that? Thanks,

How do you get the video to fill the whole video window? Right now, when it starts, the video is placed in the upper left corner.

HOW TO GET VIDEO TO PLAY ” CORRECT SIZE ON FIRST PLAY
upon opening the fla:
1) double click the actions layer (opens player layers on timeline)
2)unlock the “mask”, “image” and “video” layers
3) Hide the mask and image layers
4) select the video player (has camera icon in the middle)
5) at the bottom of screen (default pannel position) simply adjust the perameters so that “autosize” =FALSE
All my videos are same size so this works for me, but it’s possible results may vary if you are playing randomly sized videos.
So there’s the anwser the creator was too busy to write.

I’m thinking about purchasing your player, looks great. But before I do I need to know how customizable it is.
I need to:
1. re-style the scrub 2. re-style the buttons 3. remove the back/next buttons 4. remove the fit to window button (should always fit for my site)
Are these things possible? And are they easy to do?

Hey Jason,
Those things are all pretty easy to do and don’t involve going into the script at all. To restyle the scrub and buttons you just go into the symbols and tweak however you like. I’m pretty sure you can just delete the back/next buttons as well as the fit to window buttons (i got rid of the fit to window and fullscreen buttons and everything works fine).
I do have a minor problem and if anyone could help I’d be really grateful. It seems that sometimes when I load this up it doesn’t load all of my thumbnails. It’ll populate the playlist and then one or two will be missing. When I click on the link to play that movie it will usually load them then. Anyone got any ideas? I figure the buttons are all being created before the xml has fully loaded but I’m not sure where in the file to fix this….

STREAMMING VIDEO PROBLEM WITH THIS PLAYER
I purchase this player and it works fine. I’m trying to stream movies through this player; does anyone know why RTMP only plays the first video??????

Hey There, I need to adjust the loading time or buffering time so the FLV loads properly, the videos start to play to quickly and dont get enough preload. How do I adjust this?

As those above I need the FLV ’s to play on start and be the right size. Is there a way to adjust this in the XML file. I don’t have Flash and I bought this and really think it should open the FLV to fit the Video Area on the XML fike. It’s not even centered… please help! Thanks

davedo50, I can’t help you with that, I’m sorry. I don’t have any experience using RTMP .
juneink, on line 54 in the xml actions layer, put this: vp.bufferTime = 4;
Change 4 to any amount of seconds you prefer.

teschner, there’s an autoPlay variable in the data.xml file. If you put this on 1 it will automatically start playing.
If you send me an email I will send you an updated .fla with the correct centering / size
