This is a slideshow using the tweener and the bitmpadata classes. All images are stored in a movie – each image in separate frame. All you have to do is change these images – their number and order. The slideshow supports images with different widths and heights. Also by changing well commented variables you are able to:
  • change number of tiles,
  • change the wait time between images,
  • change the position of the slideshow (centered or with absolute coordinates),
  • set the repeat value (true/false),
  • set the transition effect time.

How do you get the images to display?. I placed pics in the elements folder, right where the object_mc movie clip is, but when I test the movie, see nothing.

Posted 4 months ago

Hi, Please take a look at the read me file. It says that you must put the images in the object_mc movieclip. First frame must remain empty with only the stop(); action in it. Use the next frames for your images – put them in 0, 0 (top left) coordinates.

Cool effect when you change the number of tiles (ex. = just one for horizontal and 20 for vertical)

Posted 4 months ago

Yep! I just tried it – I am so happy that you experiment with it and it works nicely :). 20 horizontal and 1 vertical looks nice too :)

Thanks for the rating, guys!

Nice work. But there’s just few parameters to change. Effect is good, but the bevel of the square is too strong for me. How can I chane it? Or lower the thickness the bounding lines? THX Gyurci

Posted 4 months ago

Hi Gyurci, in the library you will find main_mc in FOLDER SLIDESHOW . in main_mc in actions layer you will find the actionscript that you need to change a bit. after line 6 you can add these two lines:

myFilter.blurX = 10 ; myFilter.blurY = 10 ;

this will soften the drop shadow filter. you can play with other parameters too like color, quality and strength to achieve desired effect.

Thanks digitalplant ! That was I looking for but I can’t found. I’ll try it! Greetings from Hungary! ;)

Posted 4 months ago

Hi Digitalplant. Cool file. I was wondering… is there a way to increase the delay between the tiles flipping from L to R? Cheers.

Posted 4 months ago

hi beatsbuckman,

try the slideshow_mc.mdelay variable. you can set it from the actions layer in main scene. i tried with 5 and achieve a big delay of the effect. the default number is 1.5 – putting larger numbermeans lower speed and greater delay. if you like the item please rate it :)

I too love this file. I just cant figure out how to link each image to a page. Can someone help me with that one? Probably simple but…

hi there, http://flashden.net/item/xml-flipping-tiles-slideshow-v25/16445

this version can link images to open urls. i can email it to you.

Posted 9 days ago

other option is to make transparent buttons over your images in every frame and put onRelease action for each one to open an url.
