Hi slabuda,

z-index i think is the only way to get html content above Flash, it is very tricky to get it working in all browsers. Its more of a html question so a google search should bring up something usable

Great file. Everything works very well until I attempt to load a FLV into the MovieClip “info” and then resize the window. My entire “info” MovieClip jumps to the left halfway upon resize. This only happens with videos, not images or other movieclips… What do you think?

Thanks!

Hi aarikevanson,

try basing the rezize code on the info clips background rather than the whole info clip, my guess it the flv is maybe masked? so is larger throwing off the resize script.

Hello,

I’m trying to make the background video(s) include into another template (MD Portfolio) – I have the movies playing, but currently the rest of the site template site fades out after loading—how do I modify it so my portfolio site lays on top of the video?

I saw someone else made it ‘work’ but didn’t say how it was done…

any tips appreciated.

Hi bejohnny,

well it hard to say without looking at that template, but its probably a depth issue. Assuming the entire template has a root movieclip named say template do this:

template.swapDepths(9999)

hey! this file is great…..

im using it to load a full screen .swfs in the background of some other stuff….. my problem is that after the content is loaded [as represented by the percentage counter].... i need each swf to start from the beginning….

it seems whichever swf comes first starts playing in the background while the whole file loads, so then after its all loaded the alpha goes to 100 and i see it from whatever point its at depending on how long it took to load….

but is there a way to tell it NOT to play while loading and only to start once the load is complete? its essential that the end user sees the whole swf from beginning to end, rather than having it pick up in the middle.

thanks! stacybird@mac.com

Thanks for this great file! I have a problem though… I can open any of the movies (1, 2, 3, 4 swf) inside my flash site (Elite XML Website). The problem is that they open with their original size. And background.swf doesn’t seem to open at all! I have tried almost everything and nothing… Need help, please!
