Image Header (AS2)
This file is a XML based image header that shuffles the images and loops them forever using a crossfade transition.
In the XML the transition time and diplay time can be set.

Could you explain to me what exactly you want to do? This file is build with two mcs that can hold an image and these swap depths to display the new image over the old one. So I keep re-using the two mcs, wich makes it a bit hard to apply a mask to the mc. It is possible,. you only should make sure that the mask is removed when the mc are being swapped. This is done at line 101 of the script. Perhaps an easier way to do this is by loading an swf in stead of images.

sure, thanks, Ok i have 5 mc in my .swf within them there is a mc, and from there all I want is to have the images change every 5 seconds or something. I figured i could just copy/paste the AS. to the MC, and make the images that would be rotating the correct size and it would stay in the mc. However the depth that assures the fade works correctly makes the images go above everything. I understand its needed to create the transitions correctly.. but how about if i get rid of the transition… so that it doesn’t make the depth increase exponentially? but basically all i want to happen is 5 mcs to swap the photos from the xml… and change but within the mc.
thanks so much. you’re the man

rghitulescu come on! This is far cheaper than building it yourself… It looks like you don’t have a clue what the %$#! you’re talking about.
An experienced programmer takes this kind of app at least 2 hours of programming… 2an hour rate at you’re local McDonalds = €10.
2the rate of a proffesional programmer—> 2*€60=€120
So it doesn’t mather what you do… still pretty cheap to me!

I’ve just discovered this site while looking for some flash work to be done. The items here for purchase are exceptional value. The ammount of work required to get these if I were to do it myself would cost much more than what’s asked by all of the designers here. And that’s not forgetting the fact that you would need to have the design idea in the first place and not just copy someone elses work. Great work guys you’re gonna save me a fortune!
HI
Great flash header I would buy this header but I will need additional features. For example to add a logo there (also from xml file) and some text in different positions (also the text should be in xml file)
PLease let me know if this is possible and how much will cost me
Thanks a lot!!!

I started yesterday on ImageHeader_v2, it will be a far more advanced imageHeader build in AS3 .
Some features of v2 - loadManager (a universal util class for preloading images) - timeBased images (individual fade and display time, can override default) - transitions (fade, tween) - text over images (x, y, alpha from XML ) - previous/next image (enabled in XML ) - setStartImage (set in XML ) - playRandomImages (mode set in XML )
Ill post progress here, currently the main classes are done so it shouldn’t take to long.

Good. I want to use this without loop but with previous and next button? Can I?

Really great file 5/5.
I have a quick question I was wondering ho hard it would be to auto size images to a set dimension.
I tried this using an simple resize of the loader MC on Load, which worked fine locally but started to show blank images when the file was live.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

arg! i need this file to fade out the image below, as my images are different sizes.
the top image just fades up from alpha0 down to alpha100, but i need the bottom one to fade from 100 down to 0 at the same time,
can this happen?

oh jeez, I made a mistake again of purchasing a file that has little, or in this case-NO documentation with it. I was hoping this was a drag and drop file, but that does not appear to be the case. how to add/change the images is pretty fairly simple, but instructions on how to successfully embed it in another flash file or even in dreamweaver are not included. i dont yet know if the creator responds to questions as i havent written him yet. i wonder if the last posters i see before me ever got their questions answered. This appears a component for those already familiar with the process and just need to save time.
