Somebody get that chick a chair! Shes so drunk she can bearly stand.

A very easy and effective image mask preloader. The mask loads the external swf file containing the image and reveals as it loads.
Just drag and drop the loader on frame 1. And edit the preload.fla file to what ever image/text/movie clip you like.

lmao
nice effect, could use a bit of blur as the line on the m,ask is too defined

can you tell me how to pull an external image (for ex. logo.png from the same folder) and pull that into the flash file instead of needing to edit the fla everytime?
thanks Ropey

Hi Ropey,
The way the file is set up is that it calls an external SWF which is the place holder for the image.
You will need to replace the example image i have used with your logo within the movie clip in the FLA place holder file.
If your still having trouble let me know or shoot me your fla file and i can place the image for you if need be.

Anyway of re-using inside and existing .FLA? As in :
Clilck button and new image loads in background somewhere within your image preloader mc?

yep that should work but remember ur loadign an external swf which will house the image. And yes i guess the image that is being displayed could also be the actual loader.

Opened in Flash CS3 but when I saved it in Flash 8 or 9 I get errors. My script uses AS2 does this only work with AS1 ?

I originally created this for AS1 but should work for as2. What errors are you receiving?

Poor design, the pre-loader is not drag and drop into your timeline. Don’t waste your time, I want my money back
