I’m looking to buy this but I have one question first, are images loaded dynamically.

Posted about 1 year ago

All the images are contained within a movie clip so if loading was to take place it would apply to this.

If you have any other question let me know.

Hi Fabs -

I downloaded your file, it’s really cool :)

I am having a problem though, I’m trying to set this up for a movie that is much wider than yours (800 px).

I’m kind of a Flash dummy, could you help me out here? I played around with the variables area, but I can’t figure out how to set it up properly.

Thanks!

Hey there Studiophantasm, glad you like the file.

Not sure if your trying to increase the stage or the actual movie clip, im sure you know how to increase the stage size so i will go straight ahead and explain the movie clip.

Ok what you need to do is get the pics you would like to use within the movie clip and place them from left to right as i did with my sample images. (if you want them to slide right that is)

Next you need to open up the actionscript and look at the variables area as you have. Now get the images to align with the variables. This can take some playing around but once you get the first couple of them done and if your spacing is right just add the same amount to the variables.

For example: 0, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000

So with the example above image 1 would be the default “0” then image 2 “500” and so on…....

When you test the movie and by some chance they are slightly off play with the variable for example 0, 510, <- here i added “10” more degrees for image 2 to line up perfectly.

See how you go and if your still having troubles shoot me your FLA and i will give you a hand.

Its very easy once you understand the variables.

Hope this helps.

sweet file..I’ll be back for this one

Sweet as goodies :)

This is pretty much exactly what I’m looking for except it doesn’t use xml :(

Posted about 1 year ago

I might look into creating an XML version for vr2.0. But in case your wondering its rather easy to edit, add and replace the images without much effort.

This file looks and works great. Customer service is also top knotch. I sent an inquiry to the developer through his flashden profile and got a reply the same day! Very attentive and interested in sharing his flash expertise. Thanks Fabs!

Hi Fabs,

If my design uses BACK /ADVANCE ARROWS only instead of your example of using various numbers as thumbnails, can that be done?

Thanks!

Posted about 1 year ago

Yes im sure its possible although i have not tried that method with this particular code.

Great Fla…Had a deadline in the morning, needed a image slider asap. This done the job! Would use Fabs again! Thanks

Looks great!

Can I use SWF instead of each image? I mean the SWF that load external images via xml or the SWF that can interact with user. Not just images.

Hey Fabs, I know someone asked this a while back, but I was wondering if maybe you’d figured it out by now. I am looking to use a Next, Back button as opposed to the numbered buttons, is there anyway I could implement that?

HI KV sorry for the delay been out of town.

Yep im more then sure this is possible but i have yet to look into this. I may get the chance in the next week or so.

Cheers,

question: can this be set to slide automatically? or do you have to click to slide the images? need this asap. thanks!

Posted about 1 month ago

Hi Ariana – In this instance you will need to click a button to scroll the images.

Posted about 1 month ago

you mentioned that you have to click it to move it I am looking to buy the file however is there a way to make it so it will slide all the time kind of like targets where it’s a constant slide effect. Could you let me know
