Hi bobocel,

I bought your preloader awhile back but am having problems getting it to work. Are you able to provide me with clearer instructions on how to use it?

Also, after downloading the files, I previewed the index.html file inside and the loading bar works, but the percentage text is always at 100.

Please help.

Thanks!

Hi again,

I apologize, I think I didn’t provide you with enough info. It only happened after I altered the actionscript to gotoandplay(3) as it is not a static image I’m preloading. It’s a mini flash site that I need preloaded. Can it still work?

Hi Slint. Locally you will always see the file at 100% until you upload it or until you simulate the download in Flash.

If you made changes to the code, make sure you made them right.

Unexpected File Format error in MX2004

Whats up?

Hi. I cannot test it with Flash 7, but it should work fine. Please re-download the zip file.

Posted 11 months ago

Nope, didn’t fix it – Don’t worry about it.

Opening the file with Flash 8, 9 will sure work! I saved it for Flash 7 but cannot test it.

@djtrevin: you might want to ask someone with Flash 8 to save it for Flash 7. I’m sure it was saved for Flash 7 too when I uploaded the file.

Hi I would like to add this pre loader to your accordion file but i don’t know how, can you help?

Thanks

Posted 4 months ago

@sulema: if you want to add it as a preloader for the entire swf, you need to create a new scene, and place it there. That’s it.

Posted 4 months ago

I don’t now what you mean, there are four layers in the .fla, how do i place it, if its not too much trouble to ask?

Posted 4 months ago

You need to create a new scene in Flash. Please google this. Then put the loader in that scene, and that is it.

This file really needs some documentation imo.

What kind? Why do you say that? It’s just a preloader. :)

I’m having problems with this widget – your instructions say to drag and drop the loader into the first frame. I am on a Mac, using Flash 2008…

Are you referring to loader.flp?

I have opened the loader.flp in my document and it appears in the Project-Loader control panel. But I cannot successfully drag and drop into my time line. Can you give me some guidance?

Thanks!

Candace

@smarteeformee: you need to drag the movieclip in your project, on the first frame. Make sure you have your content on your second frame.
