This ?le and code is fully customizable and works with almost all versions of Flash. For every button there is a corresponding movie clip. The button calls upon the movie clip to play when a key on your keyboard is pressed. We?ve color coded the buttons and movies to match. You can easily change the sounds in the movie clips, as well as, drag the movies and buttons off of the stage if you would like them hidden from sight when published. The sounds I?ve included are from a real vibraphone and are based on the B-Major scale with an added 7th. Use them without restriction if you?ve purchased this ?le.

Are the sounds the actual notes they should be? Sounds like it to me but I’m not very musucal. If so then this is really interesting

Yes, the sounds are the actual notes you see high-lighted. You can also replace the sounds with your own.

This is an excellent idea and well implemented with the number pad. Great job CV.

Davelk, the notes are correct in the key of B major, it’s the #7 key that is throwing you off because it’s not one of the 7 notes in the scale. Play 1 through 9 in order, skipping the 7 pad and you will hear the familiar Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do.

One suggestion CV: For a version 2, I might suggest you add all 12 notes and use 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 – = across the top. That way it could be played in any key and all the notes could be used. It also would be more familiar to a piano player.

Great job!

Correct. I added the #7 key (A-Natural) for variety. Great suggestion about adding all 12 notes!

but dont forget that the german keybord, for example has a “1234567890ß” – which means that you wouldhave to add the onKeyPress for ß, the highest note, also. :D

great work, though!

You can also play chords (more than one key at a time).

Well done! :)

great sound quality :)

yes. good sounds. One thing I would tweak is to make it so you can hold a chord. If you play a chord it sounds fine but if you hold it only 1 of the sounds will continue to hit

i have drum version of this… i may upload it too…

and also i see there are empty keys on the board… i suggest you to add sounds for them too…

nice work!
