!!I have absolutly no clue why somebody have given it a 2 star rating. I would like to ask the person who did it to send me an email!!

This is an powerfull as3 xml news viewer with a lot of options.

Features
-Add unlimited news items
-Make it at any size
-Set the colours of each news item separately via the xml
-Set the base colours via the xml
-Choise of 41 tween modes for open slide
-Set the open slide time
-Let an item be open or closed at the start (all separately) via the xml
-Use HTML codes to format the text.

I have a thing for news files. There is a lot about this file I like. I do not like the way the top and bottom look. They look unfinished to me. They really need somethin added for a more finished look. Again, I love the accordian effect and the fact you can change stuff via the xml. Almost a sale.

It’s not fair to do that , if there is something you don’t like , you should say what the problem is , don’t just rate the file and let the author guess what may have been the problem , personally i think the file is great and works just fine and looks great , nothing wrong with it ;):):) worth 5*

@michelsteege: Don’t worry about the 2 star, I’m sure the voter has got parkinson and couldn’t get the cursor on the 5 star :D. Happened to me too, I don’t understand why. BTW very nice file

hello I have two important questions for you:

1 – you can make the image you’re link on the left to open a link? 2 – You can give the menu a fade / accordation? 3 – You can add sound to a rollover menu?

1.Not in this version, great idea for v2 could be done as some custom work on this version though.

2.Don’t know exactly what you mean by this?

hi love it and have puchased it but have a request/question can the thumbnails be resized? i linked to a larger image thinking the text would size round it but it didnt and my client is looking for a bigger picture and i am running out od time to make this work. hope you can help cheers sheldon

Hi,

Yes this can be done with a few actionscript changes. You need to change the width of the textfield in the actionscript and the size of the thumbnail in the thumbnail class.

been looking but cannot find anywhere to change? sorry not really good with as i need the thumbnail to be exactly twice the size could you paste the required amendment in your reply it would be greatly appreciated

in the newsITem class:

Line 70: you see there 100 and 100 that is the background size

If you change that i think it is enough :)
