This is a high definition design element that features a flowing line with a Aurora/Northern Lights look and feel to it. Here’s a dumb Question, and I know you said it comes with its own alpha channel, but how do you remove the black background so that I can overlay the movie onto my own background?

Hi Manamedia,

If you are using a video editor like After Effects etc then you can just drop it onto your own stuff and the black will be transparent. If you are converting this to a FLV for use in a flash project make sure when you encode the quicktime movie that the “encode alpha channel” check box is checked in the settings tab.

Thanks Hedley, had actually done that, but for some reason the alpha was not taking place, after some editing in After Effects, managed to get the alpha channel to work. Must be this vista crap!! thanks, great file. Say hi to Aussie for us.
