So,... it’s got lots of help. They said that with one of my files too. After that I just stopped commenting every line. Takes a lot of time to do that and makes the code look funny.
Not to say that you should stop. Anyway. Dynamic text huh? I’ve done the hover thing with non dynamic text before. But not his way. So this file is pretty cool.

Hear for having done this work perfectly. In addition we have the two opportunities to read a. txt as a _html… It is simple and effective ! Codes in option are already written ! ...

Howdy! I purchased your scrolling text on rollover it’s very nice. However when I add 40 lines of text, the scroller only shows 13 lines. Is this fixable?

just off the top of my head i can suggest you check for this “&” character…
if you text has this “&” replace with alternate ways of representing that character in html or use the word “and”...
if this is not the problem, please send me the files… i will fix it
Great file Garro. Thank you! It’s very easy to use as a stand-alone but when I try to import the swf into a blank mc within my main movie, nothing shows up and it says “undefined” in the output dialogue box. I need this to work for a project that is due in about 16 hours so any help you can give is very much appreciated.
Also, I have a script in the first frame of my movie that checks for a browser’s flash version number and noticed that your flash object does the same thing. Is this why I keep getting the “undefined” error message?

We have the file and we have copied the frames over to the location within our main movie but as we are loading the text into a movie clip within the main movie – say firstClip.secondClip., the text doesn’t show up. We thought this would be solved by doing firstClip.secondClip.loadVariablesNum(“myText_html.txt”, 0) but it was not as simple as that.
What are we doing wrong?
There is a mask in the main movie – does that make a difference?

We have the text now by changing the var but it is getting it to scroll that is our next difficulty…

Hi
I seem to have a similar problem to a couple of other users. works fine until loaded into another swf?
It is exactly what i am looking for but cant seem to get it to work in another movie.
any ideas?

Hi! Love your file… works great.
Is there any way to slow the scrolling down? At the moment it scrolls at + 1 or – 1 but I would like it to be a bit slower. I tried + 0.5 and – 0.5 but that didn’t work.

@ smac: i have updated the file and its in the que, i have included an example of how to import the file into another swf and keep it working.
Soon it will be availabe for all to re-download
@ Lucid, the only way to speed up or down the file is by changing the fps (frames per second) in the properties window.
The update contains better explanation on how to use html coding and functional italics, bold, underline, color, size, etc….
