ahixion2112, I’m not sure what you mean. HAve you tried to remove the stop actions in the curtain timeline?

Very nice! After the “Enter” button is pressed, if the black curtains rolled up, I’d buy it 4 seconds after you posted it. Great work!

Great!
How do I change the background width?
It opens much too wide a page in the default. I need to set the page width to 800 pixels.
Thanks very much!!!

Reversing curtains… It seems to me it would be easy to reverse curtains. Just use screen capture program like Camtasia Studio to capture as video. Use video editing to reverse and then convert to flash. Wouldn’t that work??

bry333, unfortunately the animation for a closing curtain is not the same as the animation of an opening curtain in reverse.

Great animation, which I’ve purchased, but I cannot change the text.
I’ve downloaded Adobe Flash CS4 Professional in order to edit the text. I can do this on the curtain.fla file but then it won’t let me save it (says it’s read-only, or being used by another program, neither of which seems to be true).
If I save it with another filename, it is only 360kb (not the original size, which was over a megabyte. Even if I delete the original curtain.fla file and rename the edited file to curtain.fla, the swf file somehow finds the original text.
I’m sorry if I’m being idiotic, but I haven’t tried to edit a Flash file before.
Hope you can help.

Please ignore the last comment. I now realise you should publish, not save, the modified file.

I saw that someone was asking about reversing the curtains… here is an example where I get them to both open and close (you will see the curtains reverse when the video ends) FlashDen

bonkers, yes you can reverse the animation, but it’s just not correct to what a closing curtain would look like in the real world.

You may have received an email but I am not sure. I got errors from flashden when trying to send them. So, I am putting the questions here. Sorry for the long questions.
Hi Inmotion,
I purchased your curtain some time ago. I love it I now have it on my site. I have a flash developer working with me on my site, but I am having some difficulty communicating to him why what he has done to my curtain is not what it needs. so, I need to ask you a question in hopes that I can let him know how to do what I need. First of all my site is www.mrlivemusic.com Here is what I want. I have a microphone along with my logo and a few text words when the curtain opens. Unfortunately, the microphone looks like it is floating in the middle of the air rather than sitting on the floor of what appears to be the stage floor. First, Can the microphone be made to look like it is on the floor using the foreground where you have setup the text and images to be placed? If so, what would be the best way?
OR Should I have my developer place it on the background layer where the black curtain is so that it looks like the microphone is on the floor there?
Any help and suggestions is truly appreciated.
I know your time is valuable and I truly appreciate the help.
Blessings!
Ashley

@bry333
How did you fix your IE problem? I seem to be having same issue.

Great stuff. A curtain house wants an app as follows : the viewer should select an image from a pix gallery (XML) of pre-scanned curtain clothes / fabrics and should view it as a CURTAIN made of the selected cloth with the folds and shades effect. Can I use your curtain.fla for this purpose ?

jayesh53, possible, but It would require some work. The curtain animation uses 2 images, 1 black and 1 red. The images are now on stage inside the movie symbol, but you could link them to an external xml file so that the user can replace the images. You will also have to draw a transparent overlayer for the curtain shades. This way you can change the curtain fabric on the fly and still keep the original animation.
