PAPERVISION 3D PRELOADER XML

HomeBrowse CategoriesFlashPreloadersPapervision 3D Preloader XML

This 3D preloader is fully customizable with XML . The more content that has been loaded, the faster the 3D object spins.

Features:

Change the zoom and camera height,
Change the object shape: Sphere, Cone and Cube available.
Change the size of the sphere, cone or cube,
You can apply your own jpegs or swfs to your object (animated textures),
With the cube, you can have 1 texture for all sides or different textures for different side.

All this can be done with XML , theres no need to change the code.

The code is all in a movieclip. Simply drag the movieclip onto the first frame of your project. Just make sure that the XML and your images/animations are in the same directory.

This is one of the very few dynamic 3D preloaders on Flash Den!

NOTE : I have listed the correct published size. Sorry for the confusion earlier!

Great job using Papervision, especially the xml control and the code inside a drag and drop movieclip.

Too heavy for a preloader imo.

you need a preloader for the preloader :P

you need a preloader for the preloader you are right :))
preloader is cool, but published size 817kb is to many ;)

hpUk,

It seems you mentioned the published size 817kb by including the sample image file size. You can just mention the file size of swf with just the preloader content.

Sorry to mention that the 817kb file size DOES include the image sample, sorry for the confusion! This is my first file on Flash Den!

The image file was about 1mb as a jpeg so you can imagine how small the actual preloader is.

It works quite effectively as a preloader, as long as the image or swf you decide to use are below 50kb.

Cheers

Hi, I think your preloader is fantastic which is why i purchased it but following your instrucions without any edits the loader bar works but no cube rotation infact no cube at all. I’m also getting this error on the output

1119: Access of possibly undefined property renderRect through a reference with static type org.papervision3d.core.geom.renderables:Particle.

Any suggestions,

Great work ;)

Hi fvgflash,

Thanks for buying my file.

Is that the only error u get and is that a compile error or does it come in the output window?

From doing a bit of research on the net, it could be that the XML is not reading into Flash quickly enough, especially if there are large image files involved. One way to get around this is if you open Flash, go to Publish Settings > Flash > Change the Script time limit to 30 or more seconds.

You can send me your file to : atelh18@aston.ac.uk">patelh18@aston.ac.uk and i’ll have a look at it.

The only other thing I can think of is that some of the Papervision Classes haven’t been imported.
