PERLIN CLOUD

HomeBrowse CategoriesFlashAnimationsAnimated BackgroundsPerlin Cloud

This script creates a static or animated cloud that can be fully and easily customized. Depending on the settings, the output can look either fairy, watery, gaseous, or just … magic. It can be used to make procedurally animated objects (spells, plasmas etc.), animated backgrounds for games or big static background (with a high octave level). Play around and you’ll surely find other ways to use it :)

How can I set the default animation is on without any check the checkbox? (Auto animation when is running)

Posted about 1 year ago

hi cextreme, I don’t have the files around but something like :

var inst:Clouds = new Clouds( this );// instantiate inst.init( 100, 100 );// sets up the size inst.animated( true );// creates the control points inst.animate();// launches animaation

should work. Nota this is an AS3 only version that will only work with flash CS3 . next week I’ll port it to AS2 , I’ll also make a flash 8 examples. thanks for purchasing, bye

hi everyone

I finally found some time to make an AS2 version. I don’t know how to update the item :/

cextreme> I sent it to you by mail. sorry for the delay and the inconvenience.

digitalscience > thanks :) I guess it could be used to create some background animation, or a random pattern.

Hi, Quite enjoying having a play with this :]

This is probably a stupid question but is there a way of getting the animated cloud to remain beneath and text or images I place on the stage? Anything placed on the stage, no matter what layer it’s on is overlaid by the clouds.

Cheers and nice work.

ditto….I’d buy this if it can be a moving background
