POWERFUL DYNAMIX XML GALLERY V1

File developed with: Action Script 2 [AS2]

Features
This gallery is really powerful. You can add as many galleries as you like and as many pictures inside each galley. You don’t need to edit the flash FLA file. Everything is inside XML and all pictures are external files in a folder. The only thing you need to do is to choose your pictures and edit XML files that will automatically update your flash gallery.

ilole – Yes you can load SWF . I was just playing with it and it works w/o problem. All you need to do is edit the file type in xml document.

Anyway, wanted to say to the author, Nice Work. Thanks for Sharing. Money worth spending.

i am using your “Powerful dynamic XML Gallery v1” which is pretty cool, I showed this my client and he liked it a lots. My client has many images and each of the images has different width and height , is there is any way we can modify the script and re-size picture frame according to the picture size??

But i am not good in scripting and i am finding this job really taugh.

Can you help me??

i noticed that non of the people got support from here.. i am sure even i will not get..

actually i never got previous also. Nice things are here but very poor support flashden got to do something about this, we are buy things we are not talking it for free , so please support us.

This gallery does not resize images. All the images must have the same dimensions.

It works on Flash 8.

All the images are pull from XML .

You can load this file as a module of v3. You’ll have to edit some paths to do it because in that case the root is not the same.

Depending on your skills on Flash it could be easy or not to implement. You’ve to alter all the paths that are relationed with the root of the stage.

Thx triworks, I’ve very little experience with flash. However, I like the gallery and if you could give me some instructions or guide I can get it to work. Great work on xml web V3. Love it.

Hi

I don know if I got this right but in this galleries large image description area there are two arrows, now I’m guessing that these arrows are to show more description available? if his is so, than when I add like 10 lines of text to the image description in the xml, and than i click on the arrows to view the hidden text nothing happens, its there a fix for this? or the arrows serve a totally different purpose?

and if those arrows are thee to scroll to the next image, well,, they are not doing that either.

wish than makes me wonder than what happens in the case when you have a couple of more lines of text than what you can fit of image description?

auto scroller would be nice.. or a re-sizable text area.

I see the problem now. this file does not play nice with CS3 . do you have a fix for this?

This file works with Flash 8. So you can open it with CS3 . The arrows are ment for users to navigate the image gallery.

thanks for the info but while I can open it in CS3 the arrows still don’t scroll the images. I redownloaded the file and re-opened it with CS3 and still the arrows wont srowll the images.

can you try opening the file in CS3 and see if you get the same bug?

i expect it’s in with the functions however a line ref would be really useful..

Hi,

Me again :)

i’m trying to load .swf files rather than Jpg’s … i know it would be possible!!

- i’ve changed the .xml to folder/c1_img1.swf and left the rest the same, however, when i load the holder, it shows nothing. it does however show the description etc.

what am i doing wrong?

Quick question: On load, is it possible to have the thumbnails shuffle? I naively assumed I could just pop open the FLA and change a few parameters, but it’s way over my head :)

Otherwise, super nice file! I could learn a lot from it … thanks!
