Excellent Updated files with manual. Great descriptions in manual make it VERY easy for beginners to understand. Thank you for the bug fixes and manual, I will be looking for more of your amazing work in the future. If anyone hasn’t purchased these files, what are you waiting for. I purchased this as well and I’m having the same problem as tommasocardile. I’m trying to implement this player into the XML V3 Template as well. I named the video directory VideoFiles. My main.xml file reads VideoFiles/main.swf. This should work according to your manual. It will only show the top buttons and when you click the categories button it shows the images categories which is not even a part of the VideoFiles directory that the player is in.

I check the paths that you told tommasocardile about but that did not work either. What I essentially did was for a ctrl-f to find _root. and replace it with _parent.. That did not work. Can you be more specific on how to do this? You said that it is compatible with the V2 and V3 templates, maybe you could include a how-to in the manual especially if paths need to be changed because following the examples that you have in V3 don’t work for this particular “module”. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I been playing with the XML Template V3 like crazy. After getting this xml video player to work with the XML V3 template. I then used the control melody function to stop the audio when you enter the video section. If call the function when the video plays, the video player audio slider takes over the music volume for the site. So I changed it to so when the user enters the section the audio stops. But I am trying to find a way to restart the song once the user exits the video section. If you have any suggestions or direction on how i would go about starting the music audio again when the user exits the video section that would be great. Thanks. Actually, I solved my issues! I broke apart the file structure, that’s why I couldn’t run files properly!

Hi, Nice looking player. Four questions:

1) I can’t find any mention of which video formats this supports – I want to playback FLV particularly but other formats would be useful …

2) Does the video screen size & aspect ratio have to be manually entered for each file or is this picked up from the FLV file itself?

3) How are the thumbnails handled – directly from the clips or as seperate jpgs/gifs or whatever?

4) The streaming seems very slow to get going for this app both here on Flashden and on your own website – is this an issue with servers, code, codecs or whatever and can this be remedied?

FYI I already use streaming on a number of projects with file sizes of 50MBs or more and using the ON2 VP6 FLV format, and a decent server, streaming starts pretty much immediately and this is a feature I need for my own website.

I have already bought a couple of apps from Flashden and will buy this immediately if the answers are positive.

is there a way to link to other types of files (i.e. WMV ) and have them popup in Windows Media Player instead of using flv videos with the popup screen?

The lack of response for the last 10 – 12 days is disappointing – I have also sent a request for a response to the flashden(at)triworks.net address but haven’t received a reply.

This is a shame as I am not a timewaster, nor am I going to need lots of tech support when I buy – but I would like to know that if I have a problem, I know I will be able to get an answer in a reasonable timeframe.

I have bought other apps from Flashden where they were described as doing everything I need, however some did not and I am unable to get a refund. Thedrefore, rather than wasting more money, I want to make sure I understand exactly what the capabilities and limits of this app are.

I really would like to purchase and if the answers to my questions above are positive, and I am confident that at least a response is available having bought the application, then I shall buy this excellent looking app immediately.

I do hope you will feel able to respond in the not too distant future ….
