POWERFUL IMAGE EXPLORER

HomeBrowse CategoriesFlashApplications and UtilitiesUtilitiesPowerful Image Explorer

Powerful Image Explorer Simple to use as a banner, a site header or a background

Just two movieclips, one is the image (dynamically loaded) and the other is the mask, use a picture bigger than the mask.

You can set the ease, the size of the mask, and the position of the Image Explorer

it can also load SWF ’s

You can use it in the _x and _y axis at the same time (like in the preview), or just use one, _x or _y.

If you want to use it in fullscreen (i.e. as background) just put this code:

maskWidth = Stage.width

maskHeight = Stage.height

All is explainded in the help file, the code is commented and its only 1KB

i bought this file… it works well but there’s one thing i cant get it to do… how do you make the image clickable? i tried applying onRelease to various movie clips, or tried loading a swf with buttons instead of the jpg, but so far no good… thanks for your help

Hi photocapetown

to load a swf open the mc “ImageExplorer drag & drop me” and in the line 51

image.holder.loadMovie(“picture.jpg”;)

put the url of your swf

and to make the image clickeable put at the bottom of the script

image.onRelease=function(){

// here goes your function

}

Hi there! File is great so far and very well commented.

I had one question though, I was easily able to replace the picture.jpg with my swf file, but I’m having trouble getting the buttons and mcs within the loaded swf to work. I see that the previous comment is about making the swf clickable, but I don’t know what type of function to include after the code you have given. [forgive me, im just starting to learn as].

I don’t want the swf itself to be clickable [as in, clicking it will open another url in a new window]... I want it clickable as in, when a user clicks on an element in the swf it will respond the same as if the swf were being played by itself.

Does that make sense / is that possible with this file? Any advice you could pass along would be great! Thank you!

hey stacybird… why did you withdraw your question? i’ve been trying for hours to achieve what you describe… if you found a way to make parts of a loaded swf clickable, please share your solution with me…

thanks

is there a way to include image in the flash file, instead of being outside, so I don’t have to keep two files (“picture.jpg” and swf file) in the same folder? thx

Thank you!

Hi Random,

great file – have experienced problems though with fullscreen re-sizing suggestion but curiously only with the height [I have checked for spelling mistakes]. The image appears to be approx 80 pixels short on a 1440×900 screen when in fullscreen mode.

Any suggestions?

Also, is there any way your Powerfull fullscreen Background’s scaling and fade-up feature’s could be used on this as am using dynamic images via xml.

Many Thanks,

deeve.

hello great file,thanks for it, it works well i have only one question: when you “roll out” the with the mouse then the image is stop moving on the position where you leave. I would be happy to know how to set: to get back to the original position to the top left when you rollout. thanks a lot

Hi Random,

Everything fine but there’s one problem. I used the fullscreen options and the pic fits perfect to the screen dimensions. But if I change the screen into fullscreen with F11 key, the image dosn’t change to fit the screen dimensions.

Can you please help.

Thanks, PLUS
