Posted 10 months agoA new concept on a previously successful file. This preloader is an animated glowing ring that has a chrome/metallic/shine look.
Only requires 1 frame to function.
Flash 8 and above

Cool loader. I have to admit I do not know how to use it though. I do photography for people and use several slideshows that I put together using Pixtivity by Auto FX and Proshow by Photodex. The Pixtivity product looks cool but takes time to load. Their preloader is lame and I am looknig for something with a little style like this one that I have already purchased. If I can get them to work with my current applications I would definately be an ongoing purchaser of not only the preloader but other slideshow apps as well.
Get back to me with any ideas that you may have.

HI. I purchased your glowing ring preloader but am a bit confused as to why the preloader doesn’t show on the page before it hits 100%? I am sure the preloader is running but before 100% it just shows a blank page.

1. Perhaps your file size is so small the preloading takes very little time that you do not see it.
2. When you test your movie (Ctrl+Enter) when using Flash, it will not automatically simulate a download, thereby bypassing the preloading.

I am having trouble with the preloader. I have it functioning, but after it loads it goes for a sec after the 100% then goes up to like 10% before the next frame enters. I am publishing to flash 9 and using CS3 . Any clues to why its doing this?

Seems like the guy went MIA . Has anyone a fix for this little fix.
They way the file comes in is the .fla has the content to go into frame 5. I guess I will check, but does it matter if its on this frame or the content fall on frame 2?
Aslo, does this load ALL assets in the swf? I have music in there that is streamed.

Here’s the fix. Add this at line 40 on Frame 1:
preloader_mc.ringmask_mc.gotoAndStop(100);
Also when y’all encounter bugs and need to contact a Flashden author it’s better to send us an email since we don’t get notifications when we receive comments on these pages.
