A simple mouseOver effect that scales the clip and moves the shadow accordingly, to create some perception of depth.
You can use this script on pictures, buttons or whatever you like.
It will take you less than 1 minute to get this effect going.
Language is AS2 .

So I love this file, great job! Unfortunately however I’m not an expert coder in Flash, could you please tell me how to add multiple different buttons. I need just one type of each button with this effect. I tried to copy and past the code and then just change the instance name, but I guess it’s more complicated than that?

I’m slightly confused:
1) Are the boxes in the example scalable (can I have bigger boxes)? 2) Can the effect be used on any image or only the boxes in the example?

It uses the tweener class and you can copy paste the code onto any mc in general.
On how to tween shades, you should read up on how to tween alpha’s and the likes.
