Random Quotes XML is a little app that allows you to randomly display quotes, and the author. The pausetime and fadetime are easily customizable. The text is loaded from an XML file, without any limits in how many quotes can be added.

Yea that is the difference. People asked me for an XML version of it, so I did. Hence the name Random Quotes XML 
If you mean that you want the quotes to act like links, that might be possible, with a little tweaking. You could contact me for that, and I could do it as a custom job.

For those who want to know, problem fixed Apparently there was something wrong with the downloaded file, so I sent mine, and it worked
This one is the best one I’ve found! I’ve been looking around to learn how to create this same thing, so it’s helped me a lot! Mine worked, but it wasn’t perfect. (I’m still learning Flash/ActionScript.)

hey, anyone else have the issue of needing to vertical align the text boxes so that the quote and author line up? Anyone able to solve that problem? Would love a solution.

Hi, I’m getting a few users on Mac FireFox saying that the first entry comes up undefined, then the rest seem to play like normal.. although, I’m also getting back to back repeats occasionally. I modified a couple things, but don;t think I touched anything that had to do with that.

You could use the unmodified file to check if there is something wrong with it. If nothing weird happens, it must be your modifications. If it still happens, let me know through my profile page, and Ill try to help you out
