It´s Christmas and Santa Claus is ready for it… but, Will Santa let the presents on time?

  • This project can be used as a cartoon animation or as a Christmas flash card.

  • The animation has a resolution of 800×600 pixels, but it can be easily modified from the Flash file.

  • This animation uses AS2 and XML .
    There are two XML files which let´s you to modify the final text of the animation dinamically and put your logo or image (jpg, png or swf) into the greeting card, without editing the flash file directly.

  • Most part of the animation is a motion tween based and It runs at 30 FPS .

  • Most of the elements are well organized in the Flash Library and are vectorial, except the transparent texture, which is also included in PSD and PNG file format if you need to resize it.

  • instructions_available_locally.doc or pdf - This file explains how to play the file locally (your computer) and how to play it on your server. This solves the issue related with the following message: “This animation can not be displayed from its current location”
  • instructions_dynamic_text.doc or pdf - This file explains how to modify the dynamic text box of the final message.

    I have just purchases the Santa Claus Animation. Looks really nice. But Have encountered the same problem. The – “This animation can not be displayed from its current location”. I am a newbee. I have Macromedia Flash 8 Professional and use Macromedia Dreamwever 8.

    Can you please help me to get this flash working on my website, thank you.

    For those people who has bought this files: I just uploaded new files. I include new instruction files, since some users are newbies on Flash.

    To everyone,

    I always include instructions as a part of the download. This time wasn´t the exception.

    Unfortunately, I haven´t considered a novice users on my target or those people without any knowledge on Flash.

    For those guys who have a little bit experience on Flash, I am sure the first package contained enough intructions to manipulate the file. They won´t have any problem to modify some of the features.

    But as Ramfrancis wrote me in an e-mail, I must consider two markets for my next files: experts and novices, and that´s why I decided to upload instructions for novices.

    I am thankful for your words and I appreciate all your comments (positives and negatives),

    I want to increase the user rating on this file from 4 stars to 5 stars. I want my clients to be 100% satisfied :D

    just purchased this animation… its great, however, if i want to send it in an email, the logo and text will not appear, can you please let me know if this is going to be possible?

    Hi Swmasson, I am not sure if I understood well your question. As I know the flash player can not be displayed on an e-mail, since most e-mail providers such as hotmail, yahoo or gmail will block this activeX. Outlook will block this feature by default.
    If you are saying that you sent a link to your animation, and your logo and text are not appearing, there are a different possible causes:

    1.- Be sure you upload all the files neccesary
    2.- Check the image and the xml file path location. This is a frequently mistake
    3.- If you modified the actionscript of the flash file, you must be sure to put the files in the new location
    If you are still having problems, send me an e-mail with the link of your animation to see what the possible error is. :)

    I bought this and for whatever reason, after loading it on the website, it will not show the logo or the end text, even though the XML files are in the same directory.

    Atrimble, of course you can edited by duplicating the movieclips which loads the logo. This can be manually and deleting the code (using flash) or dinamically, but you must modify the XML . :)

    Ookami007, This is not possible, un less you modify the xml files and forgot something. Please send me an e-mail and I´ll try to help you. :)
