A smooth, fully functional ‘Shooting Gallery’ style carnival game, complete with bullet / reload system, re-usable ‘timer’ movie clip (drag and drop into any of your movies / games), music, sound effects, random targets and scoring. The engine behind this is very simple, a few basic edits here and there and you can convert the look and feel to match your reqiurements

Each target has individual code to adjust the randomness, at the moment they’re all set the same but you can adjust it so that some pop up more frequently than others (for instance, if you wanted a flashing bonus target that’d only pop up once in a while, you’d adjust it accordingly).

Hello, I’m trying to customize the game. The preloader is all crazy on mine, way too large and the words are broken up. How can I change the preloader? I don’t see it anywhere in the file.

Hello!
Bring up the ‘Scenes’ panel, the preloader is the very first Scene. I think I may have neglected to include the ‘Roadway’ font, that could be the reason that the words look large on your local copy… please send me your email address and I’ll get it sent – thanks!

Would it be easy to put something (specifically a letter) on the targets?
Would it also be easy (or possible) to specify some targets as good (plus points) and others as bad?
Perhaps if it’s easy/possibly to put letters on the targets then I could say if(target.letter == “something” plus or minus.
I want to buy it soon.

don’t use 50cent for a target or youll get sued … and the only way you guys get over 40 is with two mice!

Can you change the look of the targets? Put a face in it? A title perhaps? Also, can the game be slowed down?

Really great file. I was able to change targets and add a few different ones. I also added a target and changed the increment to minus 1 so score goes down for shooting wrong object. Very customiseable. Thanks!

I’m not a developer, and fairly new to Flash. I’d like to modify the sound effects and customize the timing of the targets, but I can’t seem to find where the ActionScript is for them. Please advise. Great file, BTW !

ondera – thanks for that link – although it peeves me to see someone’s stolen the game and is making some dirty cash out of it, you can rest assured that the same problem probably slides through life exactly the same way, sponging off of others, never finding their own identity, a bruise on life’s apple.
Ah well, life’s too short to worry about those spuds. Onwards!
